Airport Operations

Airport Operations

Our consultants are recognised for their in-depth understanding and knowledge of airport operations. Our methodical approach to operations assessment and analysis means that we develop a clear, detailed view of how current operations are functioning, the source of constraints and sub-optimal performance, where there are opportunities to make better use of existing facilities or integrate change, and the impact of such changes. Our bespoke solutions directly address our findings, rather than offer a generic response.

Within aviation we have worked across all terminal operations from kerbside, through check-in, passenger security screening, baggage, to boarding and ramp activities, and arrivals processes. Our clients include airport operators, airlines and ground handlers as well as engineering and infrastructure companies, architects and industry regulators to provide specific operational knowledge to larger airport development programmes and studies.

Our credentials include designing new processes and improving existing ones, creating detailed layout designs and providing operational planning expertise. We have worked with operations teams to improve processes in advance of moving to new facilities, to integrate regulatory change, to align operations with changes in demand and passenger profiles, to provide ‘quick fix’ solutions when an immediate impact is required, and to prepare for major sporting events. Our team has supported the Host Airports of the Sydney, Athens and London Olympics Games with passenger and baggage operational planning, design and improvement.
