o&i consulting’s operations planning techniques and tools enable clients to make effective use of their available resources while meeting agreed service levels. For new developments, we support operators in establishing the appropriate number of facilities required, in growth phases. We take a fact-based approach to modelling and planning.

Our team members spend time with the client and in their operation to understand current production patterns and operating requirements. This helps to identify how industry, organisational and behavioural changes impact existing plans.

We determine the required level of capacity to meet expected demand and how this should be allocated across a schedule or operating period. We also transfer skills to proactively manage capacity to match changing workload requirements, such as unforeseeable events, during the operational day.

Combined with operations improvement techniques and practical operations management, our approach is particularly effective in generating high levels of efficiency, eliminating unnecessary operating costs and enhancing customer service – in both existing and new operations.
