At o&i consulting, our approach to effective operations design involves determining the relevant number of facilities and developing an appropriate layout, in order to achieve client objectives.

Working with the client, we develop an understanding of the core operating variables that will be relevant to their operation – such as expected demand over time, processing rates, range of clients and service offerings. We model the relevant information to determine phased capacity requirements over a range of agreed scenarios and time periods.

In designing passenger, baggage, cargo, parcel and logistics facilities, we apply our industrial engineering skills in combination with our detailed knowledge of the client industry to develop an appropriate layout. Our designs address core values such as logical flow, efficiency and best use of space, as well as realising client objectives such maximising the customer experience and incorporating new technologies.
