FIONA REES EXPERIENCE
Selected Personal Experience:
- Introducing demand driven common check-in, easyJet at London Gatwick Airport
Created a check-in operations plan and queue layout structure to deliver check-in capacity to match passenger demand, delivering the required service standard with reduced staff requirements and reduced check-in desk capacity.
- Increase in baggage make-up capacity, BAA
Led a programme to identify the cause of baggage hall congestion at a Gatwick Airport terminal and propose a set of actions and methods to optimise the operation. Recommendations included improvements in ULD logistics, alternative facility allocation methods and integrated check-in and baggage production facilities planning.
- Maximising airport capacity, Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg)
Led a detailed analysis of existing terminal operations at Pulkovo Airport. The aim of the project was to fully understand terminal capacity issues and develop a set of solutions. The project delivered solutions to enable the airport company to maximise capacity at the existing terminals at appropriate levels of service and, where possible, balance capacity between operational areas.
- Determining airport capacity requirements, Budapest Airport
Determined airport departure, arrival and transfer capacity requirements, identified performance improvement opportunities and developed solutions. Key areas of focus included check-in linked with baggage make-up, the transfer product including baggage and passenger screening, and stand and gate requirements.
